Centralia Happenings in Late September

Centralia reports include Will Egner elected as a public school teacher and Col. Tom McCleary noting real estate activity. The Peoples store closed for Jewish New Year, workers and residents journeyed through regional towns, and the town opened with higher school attendance. Death of Mrs. Burton near Dryad and local notices

Mrs Burton formerly Miss Aust died at her Dryad home last Monday and was buried Tuesday leaving a husband and infant son. A new arrival, an eleven pound baby boy for Mr Howell. John Etheridge dies at his daughter’s home near Little Falls at age 80, known in Winlock where he lived many years and his wife died there about three years ago.
