Chehalis Boys Sail for Clondyke With Full Equipment
Chehalis delegation sails from Seattle on the Mexico to reach the Clondyke. The 18000 pounds of freight includes bacon flour hardtack dried beef tea sugar evaporated fruits and vegetables rice beans and a year’s supply per man. Each man receives heavy boots coats undergarments and a mosquito bar. The group plans to work in the Clondyke winter if possible and to prospect in spring 1893. families and partners stay close while eight women list accompany them in part.

In Chehalis and surrounding areas a full day rally for foreign missions is planned at the Presbyterian church next Sunday. Invitations go to Centralia Dryad Boistfort Quicato Newaukum Napavine and nearby communities. Morning sermon on Young Peoples societies and Christian Missions. At 3 p m a missionary methods school led by Miss Frances B Patterson of Chicago. At 7 p m Miss Patterson speaks on Foreign Missions. Patterson plans to go to India soon. Prof Westendorf's choir from the reform school will sing at the evening service. All invited.
