Our Boys Top Muskogee League Team 12 to 8
Wednesday's ball game featured locals vs Muskogee's Governor's League team. The locals scored eight runs while Muskogee prevailed 12 to 8, amid a large crowd and several errors by both sides. Jay Pierce of Checotah hit a threebagger as Chuff Carr shined in Checotah's 8-2 win the day before. Shults and Cavitt pitched for Muskogee, Harrington behind the plate, with fans noting the Buckeye-like misfires during play. Mr and Mrs Bud McKee attended from Bixby Wednesday.
