Judge William T. Dickson granted motions to quash the Cox perjury indictments finding them defective and violating constitutional rights. The ruling bars reindictment on the same facts by any grand jury, affecting Cox’s testimony before the 1906 grand jury and claims of gratuities from county treasurers. Indictments had alleged Cox received 48500 from Gibson and 17000 from French.
