James Hossick, a Los Angeles detective, stands accused of kidnapping McNamara. Other named figures associated with the case are Walter Drew J A G Badorf W L Ford and Frank P Fox.
Washington reports a forecast for Sunday and Monday with showers likely in North Carolina and South Carolina.
New Orleans reports the gunboat Hornet seized under orders from the United States circuit court for alleged neutrality law violations. The libel by District Attorney Beattie claims the Hornet was fitted in New Orleans on December 21, 1910 with arms including machine guns and cannon and used in a expedition against the Honduran government.
The Mongibello sailing from New Orleans to the Mediterranean caught a threatening fire in cot ton oil and lumber as it neared Norfolk. The blaze was put out with help from the wrecking steamer Rescue. Damage extent awaits hatch removal.

New York police report that Mrs Morando 35 wife of a prosperous merchant was murdered in her lower East Side residence. Robbers tied a rope around her neck and throttled her with a stick before looting her jewelry including diamond earrings and four diamond rings from her fingers. She leaves two young children.
