Leo Hicox, heir to a wealthy family, entered Caroline Bunn Hicox’s home after release from an asylum and slashed both corners of her mouth. The injuries required sixteen stitches and extended nearly from lips to eyes. Hicox is jailed and likely to be sent back to an asylum.

Samuel Scharff 33 a Memphis business leader and fraternal figure died early today in Jonesboro Arkansas from an accidental gun wound suffered while hunting with friends near Jonesboro yesterday The death was reported from Memphis Tennessee with Scharff active in business and fraternal circles across the South.
The Boston elevated railroad company distributed over $50,000 among about 3,500 car servicemen for meritorious service in 1911. The gifts recognize creditable records and mark a year end acknowledgment by the transit firm.
Boston December 30. Counsel for Rev C V T Richeson, charged with the murder of Avis Linnell, said he cannot be fit for trial on January 16. The district attorney stated Richeson would be brought to court two weeks from Monday.
