Washington news reports the Prohibition Bureau outlining steps to tighten Industrial alcohol controls and cut usage by five million gallons annually. Commissioner Gorin proposed regulation starting January 1, 1928, to curb illicit channels and reduce ~98,900,000 gallons used by industry.

In Paris on Sept 19 the American Legion led a vast procession of 14 000 servicemen past the Arc de Triomphe in tribute by the French people. A separate report notes aviator Jensen injured in a crash near Roosevelt Arizona after attempting a non stop flight to New York.
