Seattle report says aviators Don Moyle and Dee Allen possibly plan another attempt at a single loop North Pacific flight after being forced down by fuel shortage. A Buriat steamer refueled and said the fliers would push toward Seattle with Tokyo as a potential objective. weather along the route was unfavorable near the Bering Sea but clear near Nome.
Four fire engines and a patrol team raced to a blaze on 6th avenue and 23rd street where Alexander McKee, 50, leaned against the box. He claimed no fire hazard and said his men were in a speakeasy, asking for help to get them out. McKee was not jailed for 24 hours.
Gov. Gifford Pinchot announced plans to convene an extraordinary and then regular session to authorize long term prosperity bonds between ten and twenty million dollars. The bonds would be backed by constitutional amendments to be put to voters in 1943, with funds used to ease unemployment and sustain state prosperity.

Hettenring 28 was arraigned on first degree murder charges and held without bail. The chief known for crime crusade was returning home when killed. assailant hid among flowers and fled after the shot.
Boston police found Patricia Kirby two year old daughter of Tom Kirby near her home in an attic closet after a city wide search. Investigators questioned Br. Wty Ian P Johnston who said the child was well cared for and likely confined for only a few hours.

Three men died when a cabin monoplane crashed at the Go ve County Fair grounds near Quinter Kansas. The victims were Floyd Norse of Brewster and two other passengers. Details of the crash and exact time were not fully clear in the report.
