Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp announced a $500,000 expansion for steel utility building production. A spokesman said a new $240,000 building will be ready for occupancy early 1973 with new equipment installed.
The Kanawha County Court will resume canvassing election results at 9 30 a.m. Monday in the county court room rather than the voters registration office. Commissioner Kelly L Casteberry announced the change as the review of absentee and challenged ballots continues.
Thieves hit the Roaring Twenties on Hale Street in Charleston on Friday, prying the front door and ransacking the interior. A cigarette machine and cash register were broken into, and about $50 was stolen.
The Federal Trade Commission charged Aluminum Company of America Kennecott Copper Corp and Armco Steel Corp with interlocking directorships violating the law. The firms deny wrongdoing asserting no breach while critics note dual roles at major industrial boards.

The Paree Adult Cinema and Live Show near Rockefeller Center closed Friday after officials announced the center would close the operation. The Paree offered massages at ten dollars and three dollar admission for porn films and live sex shows. Tima Inc. held the remaining 45 percent through multiple leases.
Winchester England reports the death of Sir Basil Schonland a leading WWII backroom brain and Eisenhower adviser. Born in South Africa Schonland served as Britain's atomic energy research establishment director from 1958 to 1960 dying after a long illness at age 76.
