Washington dispatch reports William Fox told investigators that President Hoover indirectly sought aid from Chase National Bank to prevent receivership and to mind his own business. Albert H. Wiggin denies Fox's allegation. The hearing continues as committee members consider responses.

Dr Alice K Wynekoop confessed to shooting Rheta Wynekoop in her West Monroc Street office on November 15 1933 claiming panic and fear of blame. A coroner's jury urged murder charges and held her in custody. the son Zorle Wynekoop was detained as police pursued further proceedings.

MOUNDSVILLE Kanawha County. Leo Frazier, 30, Charleston mechanic, was hanged for the murder of Deputy Sheriff Roy L. Shamblin. He walked to the scaffold, proclaimed innocence, and said he sacrificed himself to expose Prosecutor Watts. Fellow inmates Henry Cano and Charles Harper face life terms.

First day totals favored UMWA 602k to 309 for independents. second day 3,905 for UMWA and 386 for independents. The board praised peaceful, orderly conduct and absence of fraud or intimidation.
