BLUEFIELD November 1950 Plans for a four lane toll highway linking southern West Virginia with the northern panhandles are shaping up. Construction could total about a million dollars per mile with sections let to several firms. The route would run straight from Wheeling to Bluefield cutting about 111 miles from current distance.
