Dunbar Clubwoman Maude Casto Dies at 59
Maude M. Casto 59 widely known Dunbar clubwoman died Sunday at her 1235 Myers Ave home after a long illness. Wife of Ira G. Casto local businessman and operator of several lots in Charleston she lived in Dunbar 35 years and belonged to Humphreys Memorial Methodist Church and its WSCS Circle No 1. She active in Dunbar Woman's Club Green Valley Garden Club Charleston Red Cross Motor Corps Dunbar Order of Eastern Star Dunbar White Shrine of Jerusalem Dunbar Women of the Moose and Deepwater Daughters of Pocahontas. Survived by daughter Mrs Andrew Simpson four brothers sisters and granddaughter. Body at Cunningham Funeral Home with Easter Star rites tonight and service Tuesday at Dunbar Humphreys Memorial Methodist Church. Burial Grandview Memorial Park Dunbar. Body to church two hours before service.

Two Pickup Trucks Collide Injuring Four Near Poca
Four people were injured in a head-on crash on U S 35 east of Poca Sunday involving two pickup trucks. Alvin Priddy and Edison Stutler were hurt, while William Evans Sr his wife Roth Ann and their two year old son William Jr all sustained injuries. All were taken by Gatens Funeral Home ambulances to Thomas Memorial Hospital and none were reported critically hurt.
