State Forms Jury Commissioners From All Counties
Two jury commissioners representing major parties are chosen from every county based on last election voter totals. The new federal law takes effect December 22, raises juror pay to 20 dollars daily, reimburses expenses, and aims to minimize travel. West Virginia’s three federal judges are Field in the Southern District, Maxwell in the Northern District, and Christie serving both, per Randolph. Snyder argues Elk River fog makes I-79 routing risky. SRC’s plan follows abandoned rails from Coopers Creek to Newhouse Branch, while Snyder backs Mile Fork route via WV 27.
