B52s Bomb North Vietnam as Armament Build-Up Quickens
U S bombers struck southern North Vietnam in a large raid while both sides rush to stockpile weapons ahead of a possible ceasefire. More than 3 000 tons of bombs fell in a broad area as trans port planes delivered war supplies to Saigon and technicians readied F5 jets to bolster South Vietnam's air force.
