Miss Tierelathing Young of Rutledge fell into an open grate yesterday afternoon and was badly burned. She died several hours later at Charleston hospital. Parents Mr. and Mrs. C. G. C. Young resided with her. Funeral will be at Young cemetery tomorrow at 2:40 PM. Surviving are two sisters Mrs. Orville Stille and Miss Mare Ruth Young, and two brothers David and Leoniet Young.
Albert Vines, 48, was shot to death near Lowe polling place as he left a Mercer county precinct. Four bullets struck him instantly. authorities say the shooting stemmed from a family quarrel rather than the election. His nephew Frank Bailey, 23, was held for a hearing.
