Seven die when a National Guard plane carrying aerial photographer George R. Johnson and a pilot crashes into a Cherry street residence in Shrewsbury New Jersey. Johnson and the pilot die. five others burn to death in the fire. Victims include Mrs Margaret King Cora Raglan Patricia King Edward Wilson June King and the bungalow owner Mrs Margaret Peterson all named.
In Pineville two prisoners William Widensall and Doe Martin escaped from the Wyoming county jail aided by Vincent Meadows. They fled into the mountains but were soon cornered near the jail. Meadows remains at large while Widensall and Martin were to be transported to the penitentiary. All had multiple prior escapes in the last year and a half.
RONCEVERTE NOV 5 Officers say Lewis Tyree 31 prominent stock man and farmer of Frankford was found shot to death in a field early today A warrant charging murder was issued for Clyde Kerschner 42 temporary Tyree farm worker State police and deputy sheriffs searched Greenbrier county hills The widow testified Tyree answered a knock last night a man said cattle were caught in a fence Tyree obtained a light and pliers left Her testimony ties the voice to Kerschner who later asked for a lantern The same man returned later and Tyree was killed with a shotgun The coroner jury returned a verdict of murder without naming a suspect Arbuckle said a warrant had already been issued Police noted Kerschner previously served a prison term for attempted criminal assault

RACINE Nov 6 A three year old boy, Robert Smith son of Rev George Smith of Kingsport Tenn, was killed when his father's automobile plunged down an embankment after slipping on a highway. His mother survived. Hours later J W Haynes of Beckley drove off the road near the same spot causing serious injuries to Mr and Mrs Alfred Wright of Beckley. They were hospitalized.
C E Ned Smith of Pairmont, recently named secretary of the U S Canada boundary commission, visited the city yesterday. Known as editor of the Fairmont Times, he has long been active in state politics and formerly served as United States marshal for the northern district of West Virginia.

One man wounded at McMillan hospital after an attempted holdup at a Snow Hill filling station. Rex Rickman, 28, of Fredericksburg Virginia, identified as the victim, was shot when he discharged a weapon toward attackers. Paul Layton, 31, of Ohemyconx identified himself as a prisoner in custody after neighbor Okey Johnson Jr. restrained him until ambulance arrival.

One man is jailed in Chicago and others are reported to be prisoners in St Paul along with Touhy in the kidnapping of William Hamm Jr.
In Kansas City on November 5 Walter McGee's brother George McGee, 22, was given a life term for involvement in the 30000 kidnapping of Mary McElroy, daughter of City Manager Henry F McElroy. Walter McGee plans to appeal his death sentence while his sister-in-law Alberta Brewer hopes the verdict aids a commutation.
Gen Hugh S Johnson set out for the west to tour farm regions and sell recovery plans but weather forced the start of his air tour. After reaching Chicago by train he planned to meet an army transport in Minneapolis and continue to Des Moines Omaha and Kansas City while facing NRA challenges and code administration issues.

Roscoe Redman a 36 year old Bloomington Negro was arrested on a charge of attempted criminal assault in Bloomington. Mason county West Virginia authorities also list two felony charges against Redman at Point Pleasant where he was employed recently. He is wanted there on criminal assault charges for allegedly entering a steamboat employee’s home and attempting to assault his wife while he was away.
Rain drenched the Kanawha valley with 68 inches total as temperatures fell to the fifties. At noon Saturday United Fuel Gas reported 52, rise by Sunday to 52. Rain disrupted football crowds, with Charleston and Huntington awaiting a big Laidley Field game. Meteorologists note swing in weather is common and future long-range forecasts remain uncertain.
