Secretary of State Dulles returning from Europe hailed signs of European unity and NATO integration after meetings with Molotov and Pinay. He outlined promises of constructive results from the upcoming Big Four summit with Eisenhower and reported a nationwide radio television address to follow.
Dr Roy Cook, a 69 year old author and historian and president of Cook Drug Co, will be the first West Virginian honored with the Remington Medal for contributions to American pharmacy. The award, named after J P Remington, will be presented at a New York dinner hosted by the local American Pharmaceutical Association branch in November or December.
The Supreme Court ruled 8 to 0 that federal securities are immune from state taxes, striking down Ohio's attempt to tax federal obligations owned by mutual savings banks as intangible property.
