Chief Engineer O M Jones led the ceremony with tribute to Major Moorehead as the shovel christened the site. The project includes a 10,000 foot tunnel a dam on New River and a 135000 horsepower power house.
Princeton resident Irvin Brackenship was found dead on the Norfolk and Western railroad tracks near Ockvale in Marcer county. A coroner's jury determined he was struck by a train.
