Arrest Asked Over Girl and Man Marriage Case
Pittsburgh dated report notes the arrest of Bessie Dowdy a 15 year old and Daniel Crotey a 75 year old at Bluefield after a report of their ravishment. Mrs Mandy Flynn and Mrs Dowdy denied knowledge of the romance and sought annulment of the marriage saying the age difference and surprise. Police were alerted by a telegram from Bluefield and the couple’s intentions to pursue annulment.
