Delores Castle a Tulsa gunwoman and three male companions jailed for a Missouri jail break were sentenced to 15 years apiece in federal prisons. Castle pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a sub machine gun and transporting a stolen auto in interstate commerce. Eugene Booth, 21, Bloomfield New Jersey, stood trial and offered no defense after sheriff Bridges testified about the jailbreak and identified the weapon. Jury verdict was guilty.
The Evening Standard predicts an autumn return of the Duke of Windsor and his American-born Duchess to England with the couple possibly residing there by October and potentially visiting the United States next year. Mrs Ruth Joiner 29 of Crawfordsville Ind was seized during an inspection tour by eight welfare workers. In Denver on June 27, a mother known as Mother Thompson and her 40 year old son Harold McBride abandoned their Jefferson county farm with five dogs and two cats rather than give up more than one dog and one cat. They and their pets camped by the roadside in front of the institution after farm authorities said they could keep only a single dog and a single cat.
