Fire Murder Trial Tied to Turk Insurance Case in June
Abe Redlich testified that before the blaze he drove Lt. Eamons to visit Turk at Cleve rd. Kamons, released from a Pennsylvania prison for trial on the first degree charge, was linked to the apartment blast. A woman resident near the scene testified she saw Kamons days before the fire and that he was away from Pittsburgh with Paul Childs and Samuel Neamans when the explosion occurred. Prosecutors contend Kamons and others are indicted for first degree murder. Turk’s defense centers on a possible gas leak from a faulty pipe rather than gasoline fire.
