In Washington on Face the Nation Harold Glassen of the National Rifle Association rejected calls for gun confiscation and urged penalties for misuse while Sen. Thomas J. Dodd predicted eventual passage of a national firearms registration act amid post Kennedy violence fears. Glassen said local controls and penalties suffice and that the NRA does not engage in elections. Dodd claimed the NRA opposes gun control in every form since 1934.
