An 18 year old shy blonde, Mrs Jo Ann Hautem Frazier of 1220 Woodland Dr, may have to travel 2 500 miles to testify against her father Frank A Hautem 48 in the murder case of her mother Josephine 44 in Tucson Arizona The state sought a court order under a uniform witness attendance pact to compel her presence on June 28 for the trial Circuit Judge Frank Taylor heard the matter yesterday and the girl declined to go The hearing focused on whether Arizona needed her in court to support the charges against Hautem.

Westmoreland Plans New Hampton No 3 Coal Mine

Westmoreland Coal Co 101 years old moves toward a July 15 start on Hampton No 3 a seven foot seam mine on a 10288 acre Boone County and Logan County tract nine miles east of Clothier output to be cleaned at Hampton No 2 plant. The $1.5 million project includes a brick office and guest facilities to support a permanent operation as hillside drift and strip mining already run on the site.

Coal Production Climbing in West Virginia Fields

West Virginia coal output continues to rise, with the State Department of Mines reporting higher production in early 1955.
