West Virginia Doctors Face State Registration Deadline
The Charleston Gazette reports physicians and surgeons in West Virginia must apply for biennial registration by July, under a new medical licensing board. About 1,400 of an estimated practicing doctors are registered. delayed or missing registrations could cancel licenses and ban practice, with a $2 administration fee and a $10 delinquency penalty.

Robbers Break Into Charleston Insurance Office
The Charleston office of Kansas Clix Life Insurance was broken into and about $330 in cash stolen from a desk. Police reported the theft occurred after the desk was forced open. Harold White of Cebu Creek reported theft of $48 from his room at a downtown hotel.
