Tax Depreciation Rules Expanded To Aid Overseas Firms

Banks oil and mining firms with overseas branches are named as beneficiaries with an estimated annual revenue loss near 100 million dollars, adding to an original 83 billion tax cut. President Nixon directed faster write offs to shorten depreciation periods by 20 percent, aiming to defer taxes through accelerated deductions. The Charleston Gazette.
