Disarmament Talks Recess Considered for Summer 1943
Geneva reports indicate a summer recess for the 17 nation disarmament conference is under serious private discussion. Some delegations expect the matter to be raised at today session as talks have run since February. The United States favors a brief pause with a firm return date before the General Assembly. The Soviet Union has shown reluctance, while a Moscow treaty on emergency communications is seen as a factor in timing.
