Editor Cal Price Dies at 76 in Marlinton Community
Calvin W. Price, longtime Pocahontas Times editor and conservationist, died unexpectedly at 76 in Marlinton. Born November 22, 1890, he built the weekly into a state institution, used hand set type, and mentored three generations of locals. Surviving are his wife Mabel, four daughters, a brother and sister, and ten grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are pending at Smith mortuary.
