Game Fish Rules To Be Unchanged For Time Being
The formal game, fish and forestry mission will keep current regulations in effect under Conservation Commissioner T. M. Cheek’s charge. He said changes are not ready and will await proper study with new director and five advisory commissioners. The act creating a five member commission did not alter regulations. Cheek expects possible changes after consultations, likely in November instead of December.

Congress seeks broad reform amid last minute objections
Lawmakers push a sweeping consolidation of federal agencies and a 25 percent cut in cooperative education and extension grants. Senator Borah warns the timing is too tight to study the proposals, while the White House cites a 25 million savings to balance the budget and plans abolishing the Shipping Board by shifting functions to the Commerce Department. The House votes to lift the limit on Reconstruction Finance Corporation loans to liquidating banks as galleries applaud a four minute debate.

Veterans relief plan trims World War awards in new form
Administration spokesmen hailed the final plan reducing gTRm veterans figures from 259 million to 360 million with a World War classification cap of no more than 24 percent for service connected disability. The Senate rider that would have cut 170.6 million was avoided. The plan offers concessions to Spanish American and World War veterans and uses special boards to reexamine disputed cases, placing the burden of proof on the government.
