Rob Walters, former superintendent of Jackson County Schools, is rehired to head the system at 24000 dollars per year. He will replace Acting Supt William Hamilton, who had been in the role after Dorsey Scott fell ill. Scott’s contract ended June 30 and was not renewed. Park said Scott’s physician cleared him to return to work and he was reinstated with vacation time. Walters had not signed his contract yet but was expected to accept.
