Good a Place As Any to Do Time at WV Women Prison
Donna Sizemore a 20 year old from Nitro says the West Virginia Penitentiary for Women at Peace Springs is not so bad. With two companions she works a self propelled weeder and says she would rather be closer to home. The facility sits on 206 acres beside the Greenbrier River and houses 42 inmates with a 60 capacity. The main building was a former resort hotel and the farm produces vegetables for meals. Jack Nestor the new superintendent leads a program where inmates sew and make quilts while some inmates like Vonda Mullenax have long records and escaped several times.
