Long-Distance Rates Cut Across Interstate Calls
The FCC announced major reductions in interstate long-distance rates effective July 10, aiming to save users about 14 million dollars annually. AT&T agreed to the third rate cut since 1935 36, affecting daytime calls over 144 to 1530 miles and similar reductions for night and Sunday calls. The plan also eliminates report charges on incomplete calls and reduces overtime charges for person to person calls.

Body and chassis must be a single integrated unit
Stout argues current separation between body and frame weakens overall structure as plane designers have found. He says this approach will soon extend to automobile design, aligning body and chassis into one piece to improve performance and rigidity.
