Special Jury Called to Probe May Primary Election Frauds
Judge William v. Thompson says a special grand jury will be impaneled to investigate alleged election fraud tied to the May 13 primary. Prosecuting Attorney Frank T. Taylor had sought the move, citing Gazette reports of multiple voting and forged or pre-marked ballots. The panel would proceed after recounts conclude, as regular juries are too burdened to handle such charges.
