West Virginia Bankers Association Group Four schedules a 5 30 p m reception at Kanawha Country Club with a dinner to follow. Members come from Raleigh Fayette Nicholas Boone Clay and Kanawha counties. Dr K Brantley Watson of Duke University and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond will speak on personnel selection and guidance. Officers for 1950 51 to be elected at the close of the dinner. Current president is W W Allen.

Nine clubs led by an 18 member group in Iuka Mississippi shared in 38006 dollars in a national Build A Better Community contest. Twentieth Century Club of Iuka won sweepstakes and 10300 dollars for projects including a clinic city clean up dial phone system renovated school facilities and a merry go round for Iuka Park. Other wins ranged by membership tier with Tippecanoe County Federation Indiana first prize 3500 dollars and additional awards to clubs in Florida Kentucky Illinois Texas and Tennessee.
