Two West Virginia Men Die in Utah Blast
Two West Virginia men Keith Walker and Artist Calvin King died in a dynamite explosion while working on the Glen Canyon Dam construction in Utah. Walker, 20, of Page Arizona and formerly of Ripley, Jackson County, was a Ripley High School graduate. King, 3, was from Liberty, Bit County, and survived by his wife Dorothy and numerous relatives. Walker’s body was to be moved to Parsons Funeral Home in Ripley on Saturday.

The body of 13 year old Randolph Moore was recovered from the New River after a drowning while fishing with friends near Beary. Moore, a student at Summertee Elementary, leaves a large family with siblings across Summertee, Charleston, Oklahoma and Columbus. A service will be held Friday at the Glorious Church of God and Christ with burial in Summertee Cemetery. The body rested at Collings Funeral Home in Glen Jean.
