Uniform water rates sought in Princeton by exten water company

The public service commission received an application from Exteton Water Company to raise Princeton water rates. The filing cites a city council resolution urging higher charges aligned with Bluefield rates. Current Princeton pricing uses a sliding scale up to 50 tents per 1 010 gallons with tiered targets and $1 to $3.50 monthly meter fees. Bluefield rates include 75 cents per 1040 gallons initially, decreasing to 28 cents beyond 250 000 gallons, plus meter charges from $41.50 to $138.25. The commission began reviewing the application on July 18.
