Mercer Man Dies in Charlottesville Fire After Blooming Burns

Billy Lynn Coleman 40 of Flat Top Mercer County died in a Charlottesville hospital from burns suffered in a home fire about three months earlier. Fayette Woman Pleads Guilty To Murder

Montgomery woman Wanda Brown pleaded guilty to second degree murder in circuit court for the August shooting death of James E. Houchins of Montgomery. She received a 5 to 18 year sentence at Peace Springs State Prison for Women and may remain on bond pending probation review. the incident occurred across from the Montgomery Police Station.
