A founder of the West Virginia Dental Society and first president, he served Charleston city council 1865 to 1887. Born in Charleston on February 6 1848 he practiced in the Peetwood hotel building for 50 years. A Mason and Unitarian, his hobbies were fishing and hunting. He married Myrttna Eyster in 1902 and left two children, Leslie and Virginia, plus a brother and several grandchildren. Funeral set for tomorrow at his Kanawha street home with Rev John Gass officiating. burial Spring Hill Cemetery.
