Trumpeter Elmer White to solo with Charles ton Symphony
Elmer White of Murray City Ohio will be guest soloist with the Charles ton Symphony Orchestra at 8 30 p m Tuesday in Municipal Auditorium playing Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto. White, 21, is Gloucester High School band director and Ashland Kentucky native studying at Ohio University under William Brophy. He is Marshall College alumnus and Berkshie Music Festival participant who has performed for conductors including Munch Carvalho and Copland. The program also features overtures to Die Fledermaus Bizet Symphony No 4 in E flat major Adasietto by Theron Kirk and Darice Rhythms.
