In New York, February 26, President-elect Roosevelt and Sir Ronald Lindsay met for two and a half hours to discuss war debt issues and world economic concerns. A joint statement said no specific proposals were exchanged and a resumption of talks would occur soon.
The treasury department notified representatives that an act to secure a site for a Charleston West Virginia post office will occur soon. The interdepartmental building committee will review the 19 proposed sites with Edward Hess of the National Bank of Commerce among visitors. Edward Hess denied coordinating with the Charleston site matter.
