Charleston expects cloudy skies and cold with occasional snow flurries and a low around 20. West Virginia shows mostly cloudy with snow. Maryland receives rain and a little milder, while Virginia turns mostly sunny and a bit warmer. Ohio forecasts mainly cloudy with light snow flurries, Western Pennsylvania mostly sunny.
Hollywood reports George Burns and Gracie Allen announced their breakup after 31 years of partnership. Burns, 62, will continue solo and a Burns and Allen pilot film with the same cast is planned. Gracie, 51, will focus on home life and travel, saying she will sleep six months then visit New York Europe Las Vegas.
Fort Devens Massachusetts February 19 two helicopters dispatched from Fort Devens to assist storm victims. The first unit led by Captain Milton Horowitz Bronx New York will likely be held in New York through tomorrow as authorities assess needs.
Rabbi Samuel M. Silver editor of American Judaism, official organ of the Union and American Hebrew Congregations, will speak Friday night at the Virginia Street Temple. He will address a dinner meeting of the Brotherhood and Sisterhood at 6 30 and conduct a religious service at 3. His talk titled Observations of an Editor. A reception in the Sisterhood Lounge follows the service.
Luis Morales Gomez former minister of finance under Gustavo Rojas Pinilla sought asylum in the Bolivian embassy in Bogota. An arrest warrant was issued two days earlier by a judge over alleged public funds mismanagement. The investigator asked the foreign ministry to deny safe conduct, arguing the case is criminal, not political.
The obituary notes James Amil Wolfe, 47, of Kansas City Mo, formerly of Charleston, died Monday in Kansas City Memorial Hospital. He was a former miner at Putney. Service will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow in Cunningham mortuary chapel with Rev. Oral Finney officiating. Burial in Lilly Cemetery at Poca, body arriving tonight at Cunningham. Also listed is a family with four brothers George of Ohio Clarence and Fred of Spencer and Ernest Wells of Los Angeles, 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery near Clintonville. Service at 2 p.m. Sunday in Wallace and Wallace mortuary chapel, East Rainelle, Rev. P. E. Orndorff. Body remains at mortuary until service.

Grand jury action ordered for two Kanawha County men arrested in Huntington on breaking and entering charges. Carl Fugate age 20 of Scruggs Hallow and Robert Ray Breeden age 22 of Slip Hill waived preliminary hearing with bond set at 1000 dollars each. Police found about 23 dollars in nickels 435 pockets knives and a flashlight in their possession described as loot from the store.
A city man injured in a sledding mishap was one of three treated last night at Charleston General Hospital. John Moore, 20, of Elkview, suffered a dislocated elbow in a fight, while Mrs. Lucy Jones, 73, of Widen, Clay County, slipped on ice and fractured her left shoulder. The sled victim, Chester Hughart, 31, of 1018 Hendricks Ave, sustained a bruised right shoulder.
