Eskdale resident Jess Evans aged 50 died after being struck by an automobile near his Eskdale home Monday night. He died at a Charleston hospital from fractured a skull. Deputy Sheriff Carson Richards of Cabin Creek arrested a man from Cabin Creek early yesterday and holds him in the county jail pending investigation.
Police report Evans was knocked down while walking along the highway. His body was taken to Pryor funeral home. He suffered a skull fracture above the right eye and multiple broken bones. Survived by son John Evans of Concho and father John Evans of Glasgow, with two brothers and two sisters.
