Satellite Explorer radio stops transmitting second unit still active
The Naval Research Laboratory reported that one of the two radios on America’s Explorer satellite ceased transmission after about two weeks. Ground stations could not detect signals from the 108.03 megacycle transmitter, while the other 108 megacycle transmitter remained strong and is expected to operate for about two months.

Germans Freed From Soviet Prison Reach West Germany
