Flood Case Limit Planned by State
State evidence in the flood relief case tied to federal funds will be limited to Pioneer Construction Co. dealings. Assistant prosecutor Patrick Casey told Intermediate Court on hearing for bill of particulars. Indicted are Ruth Maley, five others including Alex Dandy and James V. Brown. Trial of Maley is docketed for March 8 with remaining trials to follow. Judge Thompson ordered a bill of particulars, defense says they need specifics on acts and documents. State limits its case to Pioneer Construction Co. dealings and to about $12,000. corrected indictments leave the amount uncertain.
