Clay County boys burned in powder explosion
ENOCH February 3 Special Two Clay County cousins Landa 14 and Gary 13 were injured when a keg of blasting powder exploded while they played in an outbuilding near Landa’s home. Landa suffered first to third degree burns over about 30 percent of his body and was sent to Charleston General Hospital in satisfactory condition. Gary was treated at Sutton General Hospital for third degree burns to face hands and legs and was reported in late satisfactory condition. The outbuilding was damaged with its door blown off. no fire started.
