LOGAN Jan 31 A 20 year old girl Bliss Eperly testified again and was freed of murder and highway theft charges. Prosecutor Claude A Joyce said he will seek a second life sentence for Jack Hall 29 for the murder of Marshall Clay 75 a Wayne county farmer. Circuit Judge Naaman Jackson sentenced Hall to life last night and dismissed the indictments against Bliss Eperly but ordered her to face charges in another case. Police secured her aiding Hall to escape jail three months ago. The state charged Hall with beating Clay leaving him dead or dying and stealing his watch and money amid the Rum Creek area. Eperly said she aided Hall and sat in a car as the two men fought on November 30. Both were arrested at Williamson December 20 and indicted in January. Joyces said he will pursue the habitual criminal act life sentence for Hall.
