A report by Director Frank T. Fines released from Washington details that about 241,800 veterans receive disability compensation, totaling 896,995,040 dollars for the year ending June 30. Tuberculosis caused 21.7 percent of disabilities, with 45,859 cases linked to TB. the average monthly payment was 92,879,556 dollars, and 161 cases were permanent total disabilities.
