Poland faces its zero hour amid delays in peace prospects with Germany. Marienwerder garrison surrounded, Warsaw shields work, trains guarded, and a clampdown on profiteering marks a tense prewar atmosphere as Poland vows to fight for Danzig if Reich presses.
