Berlin reports state police have arrested the Nazi assailant of Dr. Daniel A. Mulvihill, an American physician, and turned him over to judicial authorities. The name was not disclosed. In Murfreesboro Tennessee area Aug 18 a 33 year old farmer Clem Wright shot and killed three men J W Wright J Will Douglas and Littleton J Smotherman and wounded two others then killed himself with a single barrel shotgun. Rum Runner Is Sunk By Coast Guard Boat
In Fortescue New Jersey the coast guard patrol boat CG-182 chased and sunk the 50 foot Fan Dora after a 15 mile pursuit. A shell hit the rum boat’s gasoline tanks causing a massive explosion.
