Car Crash Near Marmet Leaves One Dead
A trio of elderly Boone County men traveling on U S 119 near Marmet crashed into a tree. One man, 55-year-old Steve Zeredies of Whitesville, died. 61-year-old William Catakis, also of Whitesville, remains in critical condition with a crushed skull. Nick Sabakos, 67, of Whitesville, survived with minor injuries. The car reportedly lost control after a front tire blew out. Zeredies was the likely driver. the men were returning from Charleston hospital. Zeredies body to remain at Johnson Mortuary while arrangements are completed.
