The body of 27 year old Howard Lee Forsythe of Wellsburg was found along Buffalo Creek with head and neck entangled in exposed tree roots. Coroner Megahan ruled accidental strangulation. Sheriff Boyd said Forsythe was last seen at a McKinleyville tavern with two companions. He apparently fell from a steep bank on West Virginia Route 67 and became entangled in roots. A passing motorist found the body.
